Notes

The inspiration for this painting was my relationship with Jesus and my identity in Christianity. I used acrylic paint to make the lungs, while the lilies were created with origami and brought to life with watercolor. I decided to do this because I wanted a 3D aspect to the painting, instead of just a basic design. My purpose was to make viewers emotional by how much God has given us and his power. While I was creating this piece I had to think about the mediums I wanted to use, before deciding on paper flowers. I think if I did anything differently I would have done it on a bigger canvas, and wrote the verse differently. I had to research what kind of flowers symbolized Christ, and also what an anatomical lung looks like. The most successful part of my work would be the lungs because I think they were painted very well.
